Visitors are invited to participate in mini-workshops facilitated by experienced maple syrup producers, including tapping demonstrations, presentations, and displays. This year's event features cooking with local maple syrup and maple foods will be available.  The festival features a maple syrup competition with judging by celebrity chefs from Vancouver Island. The evaporator will be running all day so visitors can savour the warm maple aroma of sap and see how syrup is made. Feb 4, 10am – 4.30pm at the BC Discovery Centre in Duncan. Tales of the Cocktail is taking its show on the road once again for Tales of the Cocktail on Tour Vancouver. This February’s event will include three days of seminars, tastings, special events and more, each featuring some of the biggest names in mixology from around the world. Tasting Plates Vancouver
Each restaurant will be serving up Tasting Plates for guests to enjoy and you will have a chance to visit many different restaurants throughout the evening, meet some new food loving friends, meet the chefs, and learn about each of the participating restaurants.
  • Vegetarian options will be available at most of the participating restaurants.
  • Prize draws will be held at each of the restaurants during the event.
  • Bring along a friend or two, your significant other, your family or come solo.
  • A food networking dinner event connecting Vancouver’s vibrant food community.

Tickets: $25 per person (eventbrite fee extra) – ticket price includes tasting plates at each of the participating restaurants throughout the evening. A $2 donation from each ticket purchased will go to support the Vancouver Food Bank. (Beverages are included at some of restaurants which will be noted, you are welcome to purchase wine, beer, cocktails or mocktails at each of the participating restaurants). All ticket holders are invited to attend the Book Launch After Party that gets underway afterwards at 9pm at the W2 Media Cafe & Performance Centre. Come join us to meet and mingle with other foodies, music, chefs and some surprise guests. Your ticket gets you into this party for free! Visit each of the participating restaurants by walking, transit, bike, or carpooling. This is a roving tour and you can visit any or all of the restaurants listed above. Note: No tickets will be sold on the day of the event. All ticket sales are final. No exchanges or refunds; however they are transferrable with printed proof of ticket. Tourism Victoria and the BC Restaurant and Food Services Association’s 9th Annual Dine Around and Stay in Town will take place from Feb. 17- Mar. 16 this year. Participating restaurants will offer three-course menus for $20, $30, $40 CND per person and are all paired with BC VQA wine suggestions.
