Candice Schultz

Candice Schultz moved to the West Coast five years ago to pursue a degree in non-fiction writing from the University of Victoria. She is now a freelance writer and the owner of Writing Victoria, a multi-purpose writing service. Over the years, Candice has written for variety of publications including Senior Living Magazine and the Cape Breton Post

Candice grew up immersed in foodie culture. Her mom is a chef, so her childhood years in Alberta centred around following her mom around the kitchen asking about cooking techniques and kitchen gadgets. When she moved to Victoria in 2004, Candice was astounded by the abundance of greenery and how easy it was to procure ingredients that were grown or raised just beyond her backyard.

Her passion for the culinary world has always influenced her writing. Candice is excited to explore local, seasonal ingredients and to share them with fellow EAT readers.
