The Market on Yates has a great chocolate selection including Michel Cluizel bars that are made without soy lecithin, truffles from Spain, and everyone’s favourite local chocolate bars from Denman Island, Gabriola Island, and Cobble Hill too.

Muffet & Louisa’s will be carrying Sarandipity’s decadent chocolates from Ladysmith, Plenty’s got all natural candy canes (coloured with beet powder instead of dye) and everyone’s favourite go-to cracker, the Victoria-made Bonnie Bea’s Oatcakes, plus a rainbow of chutneys, jams, and salsas to pair with them. Munro’s is carrying the very handy Had a Glass: Top 100 Wines for 2009 Under $20 and A Good Catch: Sustainable Seafood Recipes among their many stellar cookbook choices.
Wildfire Bakery is baking panettone, stollen, gingerbread, and cranberry shortbread cookies, as well as chocolate-dipped shortbread cookies, and closer to Christmas, Yule Log cakes.
